MIDI 'Song Position Pointer'. SPP
MIDI messages are sent by a MIDI Timecode master timing device to its
slaves in order to have them cue their
analog or
digital media to a certain point.
SPP can be used to sync, for example, a
sequencer to a huge open-reel tape recorder.
