Fiancée, and later wife, of Reed Richards. Storm was a passenger, along with her brother Johnny on a fateful space flight, piloted by Richards and his best friend Ben Grimm. All 4 crew members were exposed to cosmic rays, which altered the quartet forever.
Storm, thanks to the strange rays, can turn herself invisible, project invisible daggers of force, and create protective force shields. She has taken the name Invisible Girl. Together the quartet banded together to fight evil as The Fantastic Four
She has set up a foundation to manage the money earned by Richards' inventions. It is this income that keeps the superhero group in blue velour uniforms.
