Wright"ine (?), n. Chem.
A rare alkaloid found in the bark of an East Indian apocynaceous tree (Wrightia antidysenterica), and extracted as a bitter white crystalline substance. It was formerly used as a remedy for diarrh&oe;a. Called also conessine, and neriine.
