Subduplicate of the triplicate; -- a term applied to ratios; thus, a and a�xb7; are in the sesquiplicate ratio of b and b�xb7;, when a is to a�xb7; as the square root of the cube of b is to the square root of the cube of b�xb7;, or a:a�xb7;::&root;b3:&root;b�xb7;3.
The periodic times of the planets are in the sesquiplicate ratio of their mean distances.
