LPC as its internal implementation language.
That is just about the only thing common with different LPMUDs, there are multiple implementations of the actual driver software, such as MudOS, DGD and LDMUD, and different MUD libraries (LPC code), such as LIMA.
"LP" comes from Lars Pensjö, the original inventor.
