Advice for people in Long Distance Relationships (idea)

Warning: This is a slightly sappy writeup. If you don't like that, your time would perhaps be better spent elsewhere. This is intended to glorify the potentially powerful benefits of a long distance relationship.

There are some things you will learn if you ever end up in a good long distance relationship. You may learn, for example:

• That it is possible, and wonderful, to want someone and to have them at the same time.
• That whatever you dislike about having to live with their faults is insignificant compared to having them with you.
• That they don't have to be there to inspire you.
• That even if you know about it, the last thing on your mind in the airport will be the airport test.
• That trust really is that important.
• That if you can survive being apart, it doesn't mean it's a bad relationship.
• That it's possible for cheating to simply not be an option, no matter how far away you are.
• That wanting and being able to connect with someone is more important to a relationship than sex is.
• That even though it's a horrible cliche, and some people will scoff at you for saying it, absence really can make the heart grow fonder.
