The Boulevard in
Northside Richmond,
Virginia. Holds approximately 12,000
spectators in a double-decked structure, with a roof extending over about 2/3 of the second deck. Also hosts
Virginia Commonwealth University Rams baseball during
college baseball season.
Was built to replace Parker Field -- in one of the quicker major construction jobs in municipal history, Parker Field was torn down in September 1984, and The Diamond was ready to open in April 1985. Owned by the Richmond Metropolitan Authority.
