Japanese mangaka, born in 1963. With his Studio Tron, Asamiya has drawn many well known series, such as Silent Moebius, Dark Angel, Compiler, Assembler, Steam Detectives, the manga version of Martian Successor Nadesico, and many more.
Asamiya is also a huge Batman fan, and he has drawn a manga version of this character, which has enjoyed great success so far. He always competes with Studio K2R's Masakazu Katsura with respect to being the biggest Batman fan of Japan, collecting everything he can lay his fingers on.
Currently he is working on a color version of Dark Angel called Phoenix Ressurection: Dark Angel that is exclusively released on the american market so far.
