This is a song by
Gilles Vigneault, written in
1968, and first appearing on his album
Le Nord du Nord. Of all of his songs, it is my favourite. It is sung in an upbeat, banjo-pluckin', stompy way. There isn't much content to it, as five of eight lines of each
stanza are comprised of
sounds and not
lyrics, per se.
