An improved form of
kitty litter optimized for the absorbtion of
oil,
gasoline or other noxious
automotive chemicals from any
paved surface. Oil dry is mandatory equipment for any
garage, including yours, as it can do a better job of soaking up normal oil drippings than
cardboard.
Race tracks keep truckloads of the stuff around as blown engines and car crashes often spill the stuff. Every corner station I have ever worked has had at least four gallons of the stuff, and if the station runs low, more is delivered on request. Consumers can buy oil dry at any auto parts store for about the same price as cat litter. Cat litter itself will do in a pinch. Oil dry need not be thrown away until after it has changed color. Like cat litter, it often has the capacity to absorb more than one spill.
