Not much can I offer you
But my intentions, that I hope shall not
Conduct you on the road intentions pave;
And wishes do I bear you,
Which perhaps for fairy tales I ought to save;

But this I can avow:
Were I beneath your window
And peering at your face,
I'd pray to take your place
And wish that I knew how.
But here I can't console you,
Nor shield you from this ever-growing world
That too long for your ease of mind has twirled
And galavanted through the galaxy.

Just know I wish you well,
Wherever you might be, within my sight
Or hidden from all human eyes,
At ease or in incessant throes
Of this nightmarish path you chose.
