On the American sitcom "Friends," Phoebe uses the word "floopy" to describe herself. At first, since Phoebe is the eccentric one, I dismissed it as trivial word that had no meaning. However, after thinking about it, I came to a different conclusion.
The way Phoebe said it, it seemed to have negative connotations, and the way she said it was not very energetic. And floopy sounds an awful lot like an onomatopoeia for tired. Aside from that if you take the words floppy and droopy, and stick them together, you have floopy!
So, I have determined the
dictionary definition of floopy to be:
floopy- feeling
melancholy, lacking of energy; floppy and droopy
