Another dead easy recipe, goes extremely well with onion and mushroom mash.

Ingredients (for 4 people):

  • 8 chicken drumsticks.
  • 1/4 cup dark soy sauce.
  • 1/4 cup light honey (it should really be runny - old, sugary honey won't work as well, but it will still taste nice so what the hell - you can put your old honey to good use this way).
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil.

Preheat the oven to medium heat - about C160.

Whisk the honey, soy sauce and oil together until they form a smooth, thick and shiny mixture - you'd be surprised how easy that is.

Now get stuck in there - grab each drumstick and slather it in the gooey gloopy marinade, making sure it's nice and covered all over. Leave the chicken to marinate for an hour or so, although you can cook it straight away if you're in a hurry.

Arrange the drumsticks in a lightly oiled roasting tin and pour the remains of the marinade over them.

Bake in the oven for about 30 mins., turning occasionally to give all sides a chance to brown.
