6-7 is a random meme and slang term that is taking the youth of 2025 by storm. It is silly and largely meaningless, but is still managing to entertain many and annoy many others.

In February of 2025 Skrilla released the song Doot Doot (6 7), clips of which were used in a number of TikTok and Instagram Reels videos, especially those staring basketball players, and especially those featuring LaMelo Ball, who is 6'7" tall.

In March 2025 some random kid named Maverick Trevillian was recorded at a basketball game shouting "6-7" while pumping his hands up in the air. It went viral, and he became known as the "67 Kid". While the hand gesture is not a necessary part of the meme, if you wish to fully engage, it looks like a 'weighing scales' shrug, palms up, pushing up and down, alternating left and right.

So now, kids throughout the English-speaking world will randomly shout out "6-7", or quietly whisper that one mustn't (because it's a bad word, or because it's disrespectful, or because the 6-7 kid will appear). This is usually silly, sometimes disruptive, and often annoying to uncool adults who simply do not "get" the joy of shouting out random numbers.

Corporate entities have capitalized on this, with Pizza Hut and Domino's Pizza having special food deals on November 6th and 7th, 2025 (McDonald's also joined in, although only in the United Arab Emirates). Roblox has numerous references, including a 6-7 Italian Brainrot character (named 6-7), Clash Royale has a 6-7 emote, as does Overwatch 2. South Park has an episode "about" it (Season 28, episode 1).

Some elementary schools have banned the phrase (yes, they do have to allow it in counting, but you know, it's "banned"), Dictionary.com has made it the 2025 word of the year, and the internet content mill is happy to say anything about the trend if it will get a retweet or a like. Regardless, 6-7 has the rizz, so it's cromulent.
