The Pass line is the most common bet made in the game of Craps. The object of the bet is that the shooter will "pass" instead of "sevening out". The bet pays even money if it wins.
In other words, a bet on the pass line will win if the shooter a) Rolls a 7 or 11 on the Come-out roll, or b) the shooter makes a point.
Well informed craps players will usually place an additional bet, known as "Pass Odds" behind this bet, which pays according to the true odds of rolling the point before a seven is thrown. The Pass Line bet must be placed before the come-out roll, and the odds bet after a point has been established.
The House Edge of the Pass Line bet is 1.41%, giving the bet a rate of return of 98.59%, and making the bet one of the best found in Las Vegas casinos.
