Capitol Punishment: The Megadeth Years is a best-of album by heavy metal band Megadeth, released in 2000 on Capitol Records.
Megadeth were working on a new album when they got into an argument with the record company, Capitol Records. Because of this, they wanted to sign to a new record label, but Capitol didn't let them go so easily. Megadeth still had obligations to release one album. They had already recorded a full album, which was apparently going to be called Capitol Punishment, but instead they decided to release a best-of album, which did include two new songs, Kill The King and Dread And The Fugitive Mind.
