A
microwave pulse gun is a
theoretical weapon. MPGs are to
microwaves what deadly lasers are to
light waves. It operates as a sort of high-power
maser, concentrating high-energy microwaves in a beam to
superheat anything in its path.
Makes an appearance in the game
Soldier of Fortune, where it basically sets fire (and
blue fire, no less) to anything within the path of its beam. SoF also claims that it goes against
UN rules for
warfare, and leads one to wonder how a
mercenary operating for the UN can be allowed to use it.
