An artificial intelligence currently being created by the Mindpixel Digital Mind Modeling Project and its volunteers.

Nursemaids to GAC (Generic Artificial Consciousness, pronounced "Jack") teach it by making a statement which is either true or false for all or almost all humans. As part of submitting a statement, one also answers true or false to twenty more statements. (The statements are called mindpixels, which seems odd to me since a pixel can have any of several million colors.)

The resulting database "learns" to answer questions. It will be used in a study during 2001 to see whether a standard psychological test, the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory, can usefully be applied to such a composite of many human beings.
