just got a stern-looking FINAL NOTICE from Network Solutions
telling us that our account was "overdue
" and that we shouldn't lose our domain name
Fair enough -- only we switched to a better registrar, GANDI.net, back in September. Because this process involves notifying the former registrar (NSI) of our intentions, they had opportunity to take note of the fact
that they had lost us as a customer.
I call foul. They're billing us for a service they ought to know damn well we're no longer paying them for. Who knows if it's fraud, but it's not nice.
I wonder how many people in Accounts Receivable have fallen for these invoices... at $35 a pop, it'll add up.
