logo. Hint to DVDFLLC: You're not the
Vatican, and manufacturers don't need your
imprimatur.
From their site's FAQ:
Q. What are you doing for illegitimate products?
A. As a first step, we have asked our Licensees to tell us the Brand names and Trademarks of their products. When the list is complete, we will submit it to the U.S. Customs Authorities. It will be used to ban DVD products with Brand names/Trademarks other than the ones included in the list from entering into the United States.
Is it just me, or does this sound like something the mafia would try to pull off? (Not that I wouldn't expect this from the DVD industry, mind you, but still...)
