This was a Saturday Night Live commercial parody run in the mid to late 80's. The setting showed a pleasant, happy family moving into nice, new home. But there was a secret that they didn't know about......

Cut to Victoria Jackson taking a bath when a barrage of fruit attacks her while in the tub. Jan Hooks happily sunbathing outside only to have her eyes covered with lemon slices! A father, Phil Hartman, fending a stuffed pig controlled by the apple in his mouth. There were other scenes that I cannot remember so well, but it remains the funniest thing I have seen on SNL.

It was a parody of Poltergeist only with fruit. I have only met one person who has seen this skit. Maybe it's because I think that is the best cast SNL has seen, or my sense of humor at age 12 wasn't developed. But, The Fruiting has stuck with me for almost 15 years.
