I hail from Hartsville, SC but I'll be at Clemson University before long studying in Computer Engineering. I have lived in many places before this one and I worry about them. With my prior knowledge of other states I'd say that SC is the nicest and best place for one to live, especially Hartsville, an "All-American City" and the city with the highest average household income in the nation. Like many other SC places we have our share of "po-folk" too, and stupid people. Strangely enough, I just found out that my mother's great-grandfather was born and reared in this area. Though no one has the name Adams any more it's still a little eerie to think that I could be related to these people. Blood runs very thick here.
Don't be fooled by what the rest of the world might say about SC. This started out as the richest state in the US and kept that up until after the Civil War when the Reconstruction saw to the dispersion of wealth to anyone not Southern. Indeed there are more stupid ones than the rest of the nation but money and brains tend to follow each other around.
Did I mention my dad is from NY?
