A children's book written by Kate Douglas Wiggin in 1903. The story is about Rebecca Rowena Randall a 10 year old girl who moves to with her Aunt Jane, and Aunt Miranda. Like many other stories of children getting sent to live with older relatives Rebecca has a hard time fitting into her new life, especially in getting along with Aunt Miranda . When Aunt Miranda dies Rebecca finally understands that her aunt meant well all this time. Rebecca is a delightful girl to read about, especially compared to the other little girls that appeared in literature at that time. The orginal edition was illustrated by Helen Mason Grose.
