A character in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament.

1. Ahimelech, son of Ahitub was a priest of Nob who sheltered David when he fled from Saul. Ahimelech gave David bread and the sword of Goliath which was behind the ephod at the temple. For his role in sheltering David, Ahimelech and all of his family except his son Abiathar were killed by Doeg the Edomite at Saul's command.

2. Also one of David's soliders, a Hittite.
