A Liverpool tart is a traditional English baked tart, a type of lemon tart. It consists of a shortcrust pastry shell which is filled with a mixture of butter, eggs, lemon, and Muscavado sugar (a dark brown sugar).

While the earliest recipes called for a lattice of pastry strips across the top, modern recipes are more likely to use Liverpool's Liver Bird for decoration, either in a pastry cutout or stenciled out using biscuit-crumbs.
