Singular form; fairy.
Fairies come in many different forms. From the Lady of the Lake to leprechauns, from beings of light to the very human-like fairies Shirley Barber depicts, the fair folk are called by many different names. Some fairies are malevolent, some are kind, and still others just want to be left alone. While many people view fairies as fantasy, there are also quite a few people who believe in them strongly. Holding our fascination as children, fairies fascinate us as adults too. From a role-playing game Changeling the Dreaming, to the porn comics Bondage Fairies, and even to a branch of Wicca: Faery Wicca.

Following are just a few of the many types of fairies:
Brownies
Sidhe
Selkies
Elves
Boggarts
Goblins
Pixies
Will-o'-the-wisps
