Nummela is a small town of about 10000 people in southern Finland, approximately 45km west of Helsinki, the capital of Finland.

Nummela is a nice little town, and I used to live there, but I moved to Helsinki because of my studies in Helsingin yliopisto (University of Helsinki). Recently Nummela has been infested with two large shopping malls, namely Prisma and City Market. The combined surface area of these two buildings (about 5000 square meters each) is almost as much as the population of Nummela. Makes sense, doesn't it? Nummela also has an airstrip for small planes. It was used during World War II by German and Finnish planes.

Nummela is also an (in my opinion bad) album by Anssi Kela.
