Daniel Pinkwater's
The Snarkout Boys and the Baconburg Horror, a
poet who reads his verse at the Dharma Buns
coffeehouse in the city of
Baconburg. His day job is at a Ms. Doughnut store in the
suburb of Hamfat. He is a native of
Transylvania and taking night classes with
Walter Galt's mother at the
Baconburg Adult Education Center. He has a self-published book of his
poetry called
I Am Cool which he sells for $6.95. An example of his work (considered by his fans to be his greatest piece, according to
Pinkwater):
