The Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque is located in Shah Alam, Selangor in Malaysia. The Sultan, who bears the same name as the mosque, decided to make the mosque after he moved the capital of Selangor to Shah Alam. The mosque was completed on March 11, 1988. It has an occupany of 24,000 people, the biggest in Southeast Asia. The mosque is three floors large. On the first floor are offices, conference rooms, a library, reception rooms, and classrooms. The prayer hall is one of the largest in the world. The males occupy the second floor of the mosque, whereas the third floor is reserved for females.

It has the tallest minaret (it has four minarets - all the same size) and the biggest dome in the world. The dome reaches 350 feet above the ground, not the third floor. It is also 170 feet in diameter. The minarets overtake the height of the dome, as they reach a height of 460 each.
