disk drive surface where the
Boot Record (BR) is stored. The BR
bootstraps the
operating system and passes the
BIOS Parameter Block to it.
In the Star Trek universe, Sector 0,0,1 is the location of Earth. Rather pretentious, since other species had been spacefaring long before the Humans.
