HotSync is a system to synchronize a
PDA to a larger device, usually a
personal computer.
As an example, my Visor (a Palm clone) is placed in a special cradle connected to my scheduling and email computer (I have too many damn computers). A button is depressed on the cradle, and the HotSync program is run on the PC, which synchronizes the email, schedule and any other downloadable information. If I want to install new software on the Visor, I set it up in the HotSync program to automatically download it during the next HotSync session.
