The
EasiDock, marketed through Mobility Electronics, is a
universal port replicator that connects through your
laptop's
USB port. The EasiDock provides a
10baseT Ethernet NIC, readers for both
CompactFlash and
SmartMedia cards, a
spare RS-232 serial port and
parallel port, and four additional
USB ports. It works with any laptop, and is quite a bit
cheaper than
OEM port
replicators.
Instead of spending big bucks on an OEM unit, you can get a few of these and have one for portable use and the others set up where you work, since everything will be connected to it (like Ethernet and printers) and all you'll need to do is connect one USB cable to activate it.
