Country musician best known for that mind blowingly profound "Proud to Be an American" Song, the official title of which is God Bless the USA
Greenwood was born in Anaheim California to parents of Tennessee origin, and moved back and forth between Tennessee and Aneheim growing up. Although one day he would pen a famous song that would bring tears to the eyes of jingoists from coast to coast, this uber-patriot had the right connections and spent the Vietnam War era defending Las Vegas lounges. Then came the song, then the Gulf War, then all the September 11 shit, and needless to say he's now one famous guy. Currently he lives on a ranch back in Tennessee.
On an interesting note, Greenwood refuses to wear or sign a flag, thinking these acts desecrate it. Apparently Greenwood doesn't think telling God what to do desecrates Him.
