Bloodbath and Beyond is a
fictional company, the local
Springfield (wherever that is)
gun shop in the
Simpsons universe. The name is an obvious pun on the home and bath shop
Bed, Bath and Beyond.
"Bloodbath..." is where Homer purchases his first handgun. Of course, there is a five day waiting period while the store performs a background check before you can have a gun. During his check, it was found that Homer had been in a mental institution, had a drinking problem, and had assaulted President Bush ("Former President Bush," Homer was careful to point out). This past history defined him as "highly dangerous," but not to worry: that only limits you to five handguns or less.
