Schultz and Dooley were the long-time spokesmen for Utica Club beer. Perhaps, though 'spokesmen' is not the proper word to use, since Schultz and Dooley are actually talking beer steins.

Their television commercials aired back in the 1950s, when Utica Club was still being brewed. Schultz and Dooley had several friends stop by the ol' pub, including The Countess, Officer Sudds, and the buxom Bubbles LaBrew. All were, of course, beer steins as well.

Schultz was a tall German stein, the leader of the group; he always seemed to know exactly what to do, even if he didn't. His pal Dooley was a small Irish stein, with a thick brogue and an even thicker skull. He was often found courting The Countess.

Schultz, Dooley, and their friends, having long since retired from TV ads, can now be seen on display at the Matt Brewing Company in Utica, NY. Replicas of the steins, for those with a nostalgic bent, are available though the Schultz and Dooley catalog.
