I don't mean to
rant, but
fatalism is one of the few
things in
life that really bothers me. The
concept doesn't bother me nearly as much as how people
use it as an
excuse.
Believing in
fate isn't necessarily
bad, but by saying that
everything is already
predestined and therefore
impossible to
fight against, you can
lose meaning in your
life. The total
resignation of purpose can destroy your drive and pride in your
accomplishments.
If you do believe that everything is already planned, at least try to have some fun and try the things you don't believe that you were destined to do. After all, they very well could be a part of your destiny. Experiment!
