Known in the book world as the "Queen of Suspense," Mary Higgins Clark is a prolific author of B-grade suspense novels.

Born in 1929, she didn't start writing until the 1950s, and wasn't published seriously until the early 1960s.

Nevertheless, she has made up for lost time by publishing an average of one book every 18 months during her adult life. She says in published interviews that she has no plans to slow down.
