The weekly student newspaper for the University of Oslo.

The paper was founded right after the second world war, in 1946. Students deal with every aspect of the paper, except printing. The paper is very leftist due to the large ammount of left-oriented students at a university. Common stories are about student life and politics with occasional feature stories. There are a lot of commentaries and reader's letters to the editor.

Circulation is approx. 44 000 / week, there is no regular day for publishing but it comes out once a week on monday, tuesday or wednesday. Universitas means "university" in Latin. (The Latin for 'University of Oslo' is 'Universitas Osloensis')
