Born in 1980, in Oregon, Katie Harman won the 2002
Miss America pageant. She went to the
Centennial High School and graduated with "highest honors".
The pageant this year was very challenging for the girls, as they had to answer two questions in addition to the swimsuit contest etc.
Harman is a speech communications major at Portland State University but Katie says she'll major in Bioethics, and use her new title to combat breast cancer in the US. Besides looking a-ok in the different contests, she chose to sing an arie from one of the Puccini operas, 'O mio babbino caro' in the talent contest.
