lieu of presenting actual
stories, or as
teasers for
imminent,
focused information on a specific
topic.
Also a derogatory term used to malign legitimate information produced in an audio format. Labelling a forty-minute exposé of corruption in the state senate as a soundbite casts aspersions of shoddy reporting, research, delivery, or a mix of the above on the content in question.
