A datamine uses Object-Relational database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Sysbase's Database Platform, Oracle's Database Platform, Microsoft's SQL Server Platform, and many others.
These Relational Databases allow large amounts of data (in the form of ASCII-text, Images, Media, etc) to be more effeciently sorted by finding common threads between multiple items of data.
