Southside Hamburgers
Serves 4
Ingredients:
3 lb. Lean
Ground Beef
2
Egg Yolks
1/2 cup
Onion, grated
2 cloves Garlic, minced
3 tsp. dried Basil, crushed
1 tsp. dried Oregano
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Black Pepper
4 slices Provolone Cheese
4 Hamburger Buns
Prepare a medium fire on the grill.
While the grill is heating, blend together the ground beef, egg yolk,
onion, garlic, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper in a medium mixing
bowl.
Mix the ingredients lightly and shape into 4 large hamburger patties.
Place the hamburger patties on an oiled grill grid. Grill directly
over the heat for 5 to 7 minutes per side for medium.
Adjust your
grilling times for rare or well done.
Toast buns split side down on the edges of the grill grid until
lightly brown.
Place slices of provolone on top of each burger 2 minutes before
the burgers are done. Grill with cover down until the cheese melts.
Serve warm.
