The original name given to the arena in Buffalo, NY that is home to the Buffalo Sabres. In the late 1990's, Marine Midland Bank changed its name to the name of its parent company, HSBC. The arena is now called the HSBC Arena.

In the renaming process, numerous questions were raised over the naming rights contract which did not grant HSBC the ability to rename the arena. Rumor has it that the Buffalo Sabres were given a reduciton in the interest rate on a loan in exchange for allowing the renaming of their arena.
