Children's book (before the days of the term "young Adult") published in 1968, written by Gerry Turner and illustrated by Marvin Friedman.

Follows the adventures of a group of young men during a hot, boring summer when they suddenly find themselves on the trail of a treasure to be found. Local eccentric millionaire Aristotle Gaskin has hidden his hoard of silver dollars somewhere and invites the boys to find it.

Their quest to find the ten thousand silver dollars with only five clues leads them into caves, through a haunted house, through Long Island sound and more.
