More formally called Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches. A charismatic and mostly fundamentalist church started by Reverend Troy Perry. Started in Los Angeles (West Hollywood) in 1968, it was the first Christian church in America to accept gays. Rev. Perry expressly started it for this purpose since he was gay, but wanted to continue as part of a Christian community.

Most of time when a gay couple gets married it is in a ceremony at one of these churches.

It is interesting to note that Rev. Perry is also a former associate of Pat Robertson.
