Lucca a small commune in Tuscany about an hour or so NW of Florence in Italy. Lucca is a walled city. Population of about 87,000.

It is a fine city to visit, featuring wonderful vistas as seen from the city walls. It features many historical buildings you will certainly get your fill of medieval architecture. There are a few cathedrals, a museum, large stately villas, a labyrinth of narrow cobblestone streets and many cafes. The town is quite small so if you find yourself lost you can usually head for the wall and get your bearings. Lucca is definitely worth visiting if you are in the Tuscany area of Italy.
