A video game produced by Taito in 1990. It was a sequel to their previous release "Rainbow Islands".
The gameplay follows the Bubble Bobble tradition. Bub and Bob have been given parasols by the inhabitants of the Rainbow Islands, whom Bub and Bob saved in the previous game. They must now use these parasols to catch and throw enemies to proceed through various levels and save ten planets from an evil wizard.
Parasol Stars was made after "Rainbow Islands" (which was the official "Bubble Booble 2", and not to be confused with "Bubble Bobble II"). It probably would have been released as "Bubble Bobble III", but Taito never did released it to the arcade market. It was, however, licensed to Working Designs for release on the TurboGrafx-16 console and also to Ocean Software for release on Commodore 64, Atari ST, and Commodore Amiga home computers.
