It is a survey the Bank of Japan performs every three months involving various enterprises. Its results show the actual business conditions in the interwieved firms which are subdivided into the categories: Principal enterprises, large, medium-sized and small enterprises.
The Bank of Japan gets the results using a method called Diffusion Indexing.
Beside the business conditions, a large set of economic relevant questions are on the questionnaire, that's why japanese businessmen pay a lot attention to this report.
