Urban spelunking (idea)

Here's a fun game to play when in a strange building with time to kill.

With some friends wander off in a direction that looks interesting. When you come to a door that looks like you aren't really supposed to go through, try it out. When you see stairs leading down from the main level, take a look at what's down there. Just try and explore as much of the building as you can in the time you have, and see what you can find. Personally I like learning the layouts of big, interesting buildings, and just plain old exploring.

Of course, urban spelunking requires some Common Sense(TM). Here's tips:

• Do not enter any areas that have warning signs of any type. Chances are they mean it.
• Don't look like you're snooping. You should only be doing this on public property, which means you're allowed to go where you like (as long as it doesn't say otherwise). If you look suspicious, people will think you're up to no good and try to kick you out.
• Don't be afraid to ask questions of people. If you get lost, just ask someone how to get back to where you started.
• Never touch anything. If you touch something, you might break it, then you've actually done something wrong.
• Never take anything, not even if it was in the garbage. If someone thinks you're up to no good, and you have something from inside the building on your person, things can get nasty.
• Basements and tunnels can be really fun places to explore, but they can also be dangerous. Always use your better judgement.
