Spending a total of nine years in the NHL, almost all of them in the penalty box, 'The Hammer' was hockey's most infamous enforcer. A goon's goon, he won 2 Stanley Cups with the Broad Street Bullies (Philadelphia Flyers) in 1974 and 1975. Dave set the NHL single-season record with 472 penalty minutes in 1974-75.

He also played for the Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins and Buffalo Sabres.

Dave "Tiger" Williams, no relation, is the NHL career penalty-minutes leader.
